JULIAN
French Horn
Julian is currently a sophomore at North Hollywood High. He has been playing French Horn for 4 years, piano for 9 years, and has recently taken up the trombone. He plays in the North Hollywood Marching Band and the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra on horn, the North Hollywood Jazz Band on trombone, and is a member of the Brightwork High School Composer Initiative. Outside of music, Julian spends his time volunteering at a youth comedy camp, acting onstage, and making stupid movies with his friends.
ETHAN
Trumpet
Ever since elementary school, Ethan has participated in the many music programs and groups of his respective schools. It wasn’t until middle school, however, that Ethan began developing a genuine passion for music. Currently, he is playing trumpet in the NHHS Royal Regiment and NHHS Jazz Band. Making the transition from playing clarinet to trumpet allowed for him to explore new musical passions and aspirations. Now approaching his fifth year of playing trumpet, Ethan has broadened his musical horizons, participating in multiple groups, such as the Herbie Hancock Institute and World Strides Honor Band, as well as discovering a strong passion for jazz. By teaching young aspiring musicians, Ethan hopes to gain a new foundation of education through music and interact with others in the musical arts.
